As an emerging local artist now living in Saltcoats, I was born in Glasgow in 1945. I had an early interest in art , one of my designs being accepted for a stained glass church window. A long-time interest in photography led to commissions for portraits and weddings, in addition to building a portfolio of landscape photography. In 2010 I had a successful solo photography exhibition in Glasgow. This in turn has led full circle to a re-emerging passion for painting. I works mainly with oils, and am inspired by the dramatic effect of changing light on land and sea and the challenge of capturing the beauty, wildness and mystery of mountains, lochs and coastline.
