Jill Sievewright studied Graphics and Art & Design before becoming an archaeological illustrator, producing fine detailed drawings of small finds for academic publications. In recent years she has been painting in response to the hills, lochs and seas of Scotland. Her work is abstracted to capture the moods, energy and atmosphere using combinations of colours and textures. Recently she has been working on botanical and natural history studies to complement the landscape pieces.
