Allan Black graduated form Glasgow School of Art in 1980. He has had solo exhibitions in Scotland, Germany and the USA. He was awarded First Place in the 14th Ohio Exhibition held in Cuyahoga Valley Art Centre USA.

His paintings try to capture the ever-changing light and colour of the Scottish Landscape.
