As an emerging local artist now living in Saltcoats, Anne was born in Glasgow in 1945. She had an early interest in art, one of her designs being accepted for a stained-glass church window. A long-time interest in photography led to commissions for portraits and weddings, in addition to building a portfolio of landscape photography. In 2010 Anne had a successful solo photography exhibition in Glasgow. This in turn has led full circle to a re-emerging passion for painting. She works mainly with oils, and is inspired by the dramatic effect of changing light on land and sea and the challenge of capturing the beauty, wildness and mystery of mountains, lochs and coastline.
