PAT KRAMEK

Pat was born in Edinburgh to a Polish father and a Scottish mother. When she was five years old an uncle gave her a paint box for Christmas. Something happened and from then on, she always loved to paint. Her mother made magical dresses. The coming and going of beautiful textured fabrics and garments played a big part of her young life. Naturally, she was drawn to textiles and studied weaving and printed textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art, Dundee.

After graduating, she was a designer with BMK Carpets and then freelanced in fabric and wallpaper design with Anna French. Pat also taught art and computer studies at Belmont Academy in Ayr.

While this was all going on, she still painted and exhibited her work in various galleries. In 2000, Pat made the decision to follow her dream and become a full time artist. Pat’s background in textiles is evident in her paintings which are full of texture, colour and light.

Pat’s work can be found in many private and corporate collections throughout the UK and beyond.
