Stuart studied art at Cumbria College of Art & Design and Glasgow School of Art graduating in 1989. Based at Wasps Studios Dennistoun, his work is mainly centred around landscape and figurative painting often based on his travels to Europe,US and Japan. Stuart has also been engaged in numerous historical based projects and has undergone research work for Kent University’s Great War Theatre Project. His exhibitions have included Arka Gallery, Lithuania, Devils Porridge Museum, William Jackson Gallery, London, Walter C Young Centre, Miami USA, Annan Museum, A dot Gallery, Glasgow and Scottish Football Museum, Glasgow.
