Originally from the Isle of Bute, Archie has lived in Paisley for the last 25 years. He started his working life as a TV Engineer, however he then went on to study holistic therapies and then furniture design at James Watt College. He has been making various pieces in wood for about 40 years and having recently retired from 20 years as a picture framer, currently spends his time in his workshop at home, making clocks and mirrors which are inspired by his love of the Art and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
