Marion lived in Greenock for over forty years before moving to Dunblane.

Originally self-taught, she later studied part time as a mature student at Glasgow School of Art. She is inspired by the Scottish Colourists and has been painting for many years.

She paints an eclectic mix of land and seascapes and particularly loves the West Coast of Scotland, trying to capture the atmosphere of places she has visited. She has worked with oils in the past but now paints predominantly in acrylic. She is an artist member of the Paisley Art Institute and exhibits throughout Scotland.
