Scott was born and brought up in Largs, a small seaside town on the West Coast of Scotland. He found his passion for drawing at an early age and is self taught in Fine Art.

After graduating in Technical Illustration & Design for Print from Glasgow College of Building & Printing, he started work for a company in 1988 as an illustrator. Four years later, with the same company, he became a 2D Graphic Artist creating illustrations for computer based training. After four years experience in 2D Graphics, he moved again to The Visuals Department where he worked for 14 years as a 3D Modeller, generating 3D models for simulation & training.

After working for the same company for 22 years he faced redundancy, and decided to go self employed as a professional artist. For the last 17 years Scott has built a highly successful career working from his home studio in the coastal village of Fairlie on the West coast of Scotland.
