VAL O'REGAN

A multidisciplinary artist and jeweller based in Innellan, near Dunoon. Val studied Sculpture at Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork and Jewellery at City of Glasgow College. She is a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists and has received ongoing support through funding from Creative Scotland and VACMA awards. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.

Working across porcelain, printmaking, textiles, and sterling silver, Val’s practice is rooted in a passion for materials, process, and skilled craft. Inspired by the coastal landscape and botanical forms of the South Cowal Peninsula, She creates wearable porcelain and silver jewellery informed by printmaking techniques, etching, and cyanotype processes.

Each porcelain piece is individually high-fired in the kiln and hand-finished using traditional silversmithing techniques. Sustainability is central to her practice, with recycled clay and silver incorporated throughout the studio process. Through making, Val explores texture, place, and material transformation, creating work that connects contemporary craft with the natural environment.
